Dog Bite $140,000.00: Teenage boy required surgery after being bitten in the face by a dog.

Passenger in a vehicle where driver fell asleep: $100,000+: A man was sleeping in a vehicle on the way home from a fishing rip when the driver fell asleep and crashed the car causing the vehicle to flip. Mr. Gourley’s client received the $100,000 policy limits from the driver and is currently in the process of litigating an additional underinsured claim against his own insurance company.

Driver of a vehicle struck by another vehicle $100,000: Mr. Gourley’s client suffered a broken arm, separated shoulder, and other injuries. Settled for the $100,000 maximum under the policy.

Car Accident with soft tissue injuries $27,500: Neck and Back Strains resulting from injuries suffered after being rear ended by another car.

Mr. Gourley graduated with honors from the University of Kansas School of Business.  He received an emphasis in German and International Business.  He went on to obtain his Juris Doctorate from Drake University.  He is currently admitted to practice in all Courts in the State of Iowa as well as both the Southern and Northern Districts of the United States Courts.

Mr. Gourley combines his knowledge of the civil justice system with his business background to aggressively litigate civil cases from wrongful death and personal injury cases to commercial litigation.  While he has the invaluable experience of having been on both the plaintiff and defense side of a lawsuit, Mr. Gourley prides himself on predominantly representing claimants seeking fair and adequate compensation for the civil wrongs of others.
