OWI Amended and License Saved

Newton, Jasper County, Iowa.  Client charged with operating while intoxicated hired GRL Law to represent him and during the course of investigating the case, it was determined, among other things, that the client's rights under Iowa Code Section 804.20 had been violated because the client was not allowed to communicate with his wife following his arrest.  The court agreed and suppressed the client's breath test results and the State agreed to amend the charge to public intoxication thereby saving the client's drivers license.
