Sac County Iowa. Client was arrested and charged with OWI first offense. After a review of the video from the Police Department it was determined that the arresting officer only gave the client eighteen minutes to place telephone calls. The driver's license suspension was successfully challenged at the administrative hearing with the adminstrative law judge concluding the Client's rights under Iowa Code Section 804.20 had been violated and thus his license could not be suspended. As a result of the successful challenge to his driver's license, the State agreed to dismiss his criminal charge.
