Beating the Wrap

Boone County Iowa.  We beat the wrap!  A Boone County jury recently acquitted a young man and GRL Law client of false imprisonment charges stemming from a homecoming tradition.  The issue before the jury was whether saran wrapping an underclassmen to a lightpole with his consent was a crime.  When asked during jury selection whether any potential member of the jury thought this was a crime the unanimous vote was "no" leaving everyone in the courtroom wondering why this case was even going to trial.  Fortunately for this young man the jury was able to see through the nonsense and return a not guilty verdict.
