Drivers License Spared

Knoxville, Marion County, Iowa.  Prosecution agrees to amend Operating While Intoxicated (DUI) charge to Simple Misdemeanor, Public Intoxication after GRL Law successfully spared client's driver's license at the Department of Transportation hearing.  The arresting police officer failed to give the defendant an opportunity to place phone calls at the police station prior to submitting to the breath test despite the defendant making a request to place a phone call.
