Iowa Supreme Court REVERSES Termination of GRL Client’s Parental Rights

Hancock County, Iowa. GRL Law client had his parental rights to his children taken from him after a very quick termination decision from a district associate judge.  The judge found that grounds existed to terminate the rights of the father and that the termination was in the best interests of the small children, who were under the age of five.  After an appeal to the Iowa Court of Appeals, GRL Law attorney Grant Gangestad continued to fight for his client, asking the Iowa Supreme Court to review the decision of the lower courts.  After oral argument and a more than eighteen month appellate battle, the Iowa Supreme Court agreed with Mr. Gangestad that it was not in the best interests of the children to terminate the father's rights to his children and reinstated his parental rights.
