Jury Returns NOT Guilty Verdict on Willful Injury Assault Allegations

West Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa.  A Polk County Jury acquitted GRL Law's client of Willful Injury and all lesser-included charges arising out of a fight taking place outside of a local bar.  GRL Law successfully defended the charges claiming that client was justified in defending himself when the complaining witnesses came out of the bar after him.  The law permits a person to stand their ground and defend themselves so long as the force used is reasonable.  Finding client not guilty of all charges, the jury concluded that GRL Law's client's use of force to defend himself was reasonable under the circumstances.
