Our office gets many calls from attorneys seeking advice on OWI’s for their client and sometimes simply wanting to refer their clients for us to take over the case because they are not getting the result they would like for their client. That is precisely what happened on this OWI first offense charge from Polk County. GRL’s client was being represented by another well respected and knowledgable attorney but was not able to secure the result in the case that he thought he should. Ultimately that attorney refered his client to GRL and after reviewing the videos, and pushing the county attorney for the trial, the charge was ultimately amended to reckless driving saving an OWI conviction on the client’s record.
