Ames, Story County, Iowa. GRL Law client's request for his lawyer to come to the station to review the advisory read to him prior to submitting to a breath test resulted in the subsequent breath test result being excluded. While the officer allowed GRL Law's client to place phone calls he did not provide him an opportunity to have someone come down and meet with him in person or explain his right to an in-person consultation. The result was that the judge was required to exclude the breath test result obtained after the legal violation. OWI conviction avoided and driving privileges spared.
