State Defers Prosecution in Carrying Weapons Case

Wright County, Iowa.  A search of a GRL Law client uncovered a handgun which was concealed on the client (client had a permit to carry but was invalidated due to his intoxication). GRL Law attorney Grant Gangestad filed a motion to suppress the seizure and search of his client.  The State agreed to defer prosecution and eventually dismissed the carrying weapons charge against the client, saving his ability to possess a weapon in the future.
