Polk County, Iowa- Client was charged with one count each of possession of controlled substance with intent to deliver and failure to affix a tax stamp, Class “D” felonies. Each charge carried up to 5 years in prison and loss of voting and certain citizenship rights. After a successful investigation by attorney Gangestad, the State agreed to dismiss the two D felonies and agreed to recommend a deferred judgment on a misdemeanor charge. The client, after successfully completing probation, will have no criminal record.
