Violation of Speedy Indictment Rule Results in Dismissed OWI Charge

Franklin County, Iowa. GRL Law client's case involved an alleged operating while intoxicated case with a vehicular accident. The State failed to file an indictment in client's case within 45 days after arrest, in violation of Iowa law. OWI charge was dismissed.  Client's license was spared.  Client pled guilty to traffic ticket and did not do any jail time.
