When should I get a lawyer after a car accident?
As soon as a serious accident or a traumatic injury occurs, an insurance company is deploying all the assets that they have available to start working their case up. And believe me they have a lot of assets. They want to avoid having to pay anything. They want to avoid having to take responsibility of their claim. If we are contacted at the earliest possible opportunity, we are able to deploy our assets as well. We are able to get our investigators out there. We are able to get our experts out there. We are able to start obtaining evidence, sometimes there are videos from a business that can capture an accident but often times these videos are recorded over within a few days, a week, or a month, so if those requests aren’t made we may lose those forever.
This is all stuff that if we are notified at the earliest possible time we can make sure that we are procuring and that we are saving so that we have control over that information, and it’s not the insurance company that is solely in control.
