Charges Dismissed License Saved

Story County, Iowa.  Client was charged with operating while intoxicated after a police officer stopped her for being parked behind a closed business.  Upon approach by the police officer, the client attempted to drive away and was seized by the police officer.  In a pretrial motion to suppress alleging that the officer violated her rights under the Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution, the Court agreed and determined that all evidence following the seizure was not admissible at trial and the State was forced to dismiss the charge.  As a result of the successful motion to suppress, the client was able to save her driver's license.
