Black Hawk County Jury Finds Client Not Guilty

Client charged with OWI driving while under the influence of drugs and possession of marijuana in Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.  Client was driving a friends vehicle with three other passengers.  Vehicle was stopped at a gas station because the registered owner's driver's license was revoked.  The client was outside the vehicle, fueling the vehicle, when the officer pulled up.  Client refused to do field sobriety tests, drug recognition testing and refused a urine test.  The marijuana was discovered on the driver's seat under his coat.  After a two-day trial, the jury returned verdicts of not guilty on both counts after an hour of deliberation.
