OWI charge amended to public intox and license save

Jasper County, Iowa.  Client was charged with operating while intoxicated first offense after failing a breath test.  GRL was able to successfully challenge the admissibility of the breath test result because the officer did not take sufficient steps to secure an interpreter for the client who was hearing impaired.  As a result, the State agreed to amend the charge to public intoxication and the Department of Transportation was prevented from suspending his license.
